Week 3 Reflections

In the third week of our class, we learned about using technology to help people learn languages.  We looked at MOOCs, which are free online courses for many people. We also learned about CALL and TELL, which are about using computers and technology in language learning. We found out about blended learning, which mixes online and in-person learning, and how to make online courses. We learned how to tell stories using digital tools and how to use online tools to find information. We also learned about making podcasts and designing blogs. We talked about how to manage a class using technology and how to use programs like Hot Potatoes and Google Drive to help students learn languages. We learned how to use different technology tools in language learning. Week 2 Reflections

Class 1: Introduction to Penzu and PhraseTeacher The second week of our TELL class began with an introduction to Penzu , a digital journaling platform designed for private writing and data storage. Since it is a secure and private website, entries can only be shared with individuals granted access via a direct link or email. Our tutor guided us through the login process and introduced key features, such as inserting images, creating new pages, and sharing journal entries. Following this, we explored another educational tool, PhraseTeacher.com , which is used for vocabulary development. This website not only helps learners discover and practice new phrases but also offers an audio feature that allows users to listen to correct pronunciations, making it especially useful for language learners who may struggle with pronunciation. Reflections week 1

I am in 8th semester. We have been introduced to a new applied linguistics course titled TELL. The course on Technology-Enhanced Language Learning (TELL) explores how digital tools reshape language acquisition, making it more interactive and efficient. Over the past three days, we have explored key concepts such as TELL and what is blog, gaining insights into how technology and data-driven approaches influence modern language learning.
